Our care home

Hayes Park Nursing & residential Home

As a residential care home specialising in nursing and dementia care, we are committed to developing a comfortable and stimulating environment that meets the individual needs of all of our residents.

Who we support

Set in the heart of Leicester and surrounded by shops, transport links and a thriving multicultural community, Hayes Park has been purpose-built to support up to 49 residents with a range of needs, from residential to nursing care, day care or night care and respite or convalescence care.

Our caring approach

Our mission to deliver high quality care which enhances quality of life for the people we support. We help our residents to lead fulfilling lives, with care that’s personalised to their individual needs and wishes.

For us, “quality care” means ensuring that every individual’s hopes, goals and needs are met.

Hayes Park

a purpose-built home

Hayes Park has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the residents we support. As well as single rooms Hayes Park also has shared rooms which can be occupied by couples, the home has a range of bright and homely communal areas which are used for socialising, eating, entertainment and enjoying time with friends and family.

Our bedrooms are designed to provide each individual with a private, cosy and safe place which promotes a good night’s sleep. Each bedroom is fully furnished and decorated to a high standard, mostly with en-suite facilities and with a TV point and phone access. To make people feel at home, residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with mementoes and photographs. Residents are also welcome to redecorate and bring their own furniture if they wish to. We also have installed a custom wifi solution to ensure our residents have access anywhere in the home.

Dementia friendly environments

Calming settings designed to reduce stress and stimulate memories

Living with dementia can be stressful and exhausting.  We aim to relieve this by creating calming settings which increase independence and reduce confusion. As part of our approach, we use memorabilia and photographs to encourage and stimulate memories and promote conversation.

My Mother-in-Law has resided at Hayes Park for over 2 years now and is content and her needs well catered for as she is confined to bed/wheelchair. During this time she has grown in confidence by mixing with the other residents and joining in the various fun activities organised by the staff. She has
also gained weight! The staff recently helped us to celebrate her 91st birthday by providing a warm room with tables/chairs etc for close family to attend which we all enjoyed immensely. All staff are friendly and always available for a face-to-face chat when we visit and as we are able to have email and telephone contact with the manager/nurses/office staff any concerns or queries are immediately responded to. We are also kept well up to date with her daily life by photographs and comments posted on the home’s online page. We do and we would highly recommend this care home to others.
