Today at Broadmead Resthome, we celebrated the Queen’s birthday by holding a Royal Tea Party. The residents had made fairy cakes before the event and we also had cream scones and cucumber sandwiches.  Yummy!!

The residents joined together to watch a virtual musical DVD, The Best of British, which they merrily joined in singing along to the songs ,waving their flags. There was also a surprise visit from the Queen.

A very musical, happy afternoon celebrating Her Majesty’s birthday. The whole day had residents at Broadmead Resthome reminiscing about days gone by and some lovely memories and the Queen’s achievements. It was lovely to hear about everyone’s memories. They were equally varied and interesting and kept everyone busy and chatting throughout the day.
