Short term, Respite and Convalescent care

Nursing and Residential care on a short term basis

Whether you need respite care for a well earned break or to focus on your own personal needs, we are happy to help.

Our experience suggests that respite care can be a wonderful break for older people too, giving them the opportunity to meet new people and spend time in different surroundings. We also provide convalescent care for people in Pershore and surrounding areas, enabling people to rest and recuperate from an operation or hospital stay.

My father arrived very frail and uncertain. He was welcomed, told that this is his home and treated with love and understanding. The staff were also very supportive of myself at a very difficult time. 2 and a half years later, we feel very happy and confident with the care he receives. Lots of activities if he wishes. Beautiful gardens to walk around or sit and have coffee. Trips out and an annual garden fete. Also cheese and wine and barbecue evenings. The staff work hard and are very caring. Thank you Bricklehampton.

Making the move to Bricklehampton Hall

Our approach: We understand that moving home can be a stressful time at any time of life. The decision to move to a nursing home can be a tough one. To help make the transition as smooth as possible, we take the time to get to know each resident’s needs and preferences. We build relationships with family members to gather information about their life, personality and preferences. We also encourage people to personalise their surroundings with familiar items which will make them feel at home.

End of life care

Handling end of life care with dignity and respect

At Bricklehampton Hall Nursing Home we believe that everyone deserves dignity and respect as they approach the end of their life. As such, we take a sensitive and caring approach to end of life care, ensuring that medical, emotional, physical and spiritual needs are met.

Our end of life care extends to supporting family at this difficult time. Our caring and compassionate team will be glad to offer support, answer any questions and simply be with you during your time of need. Staff are also chosen for their compassion and integrity, resulting in end of life care which is both dignified and caring in equal measure.

Our approach

Person-Centred Care

Our team takes a person-centred approach to care and care planning. We understand that everyone’s needs are different, which is why we work closely with residents and their families to understand their needs and develop a personalised support plan, which evolves as their needs change.

Each person in our care is a unique individual who should be supported in making personalised choices about all daily living activities. This means that residents can decide when to get up and when to go to bed, whether to remain in their rooms or whether to join others for meals, company or activities.

Our approach encourages independence and builds selfesteem by focusing on the unique capabilities of each person, celebrating achievements and ensuring that each individual’s choices and preferences are respected.
