Food and drink
Our chefs pride themselves on serving nutritious, delicious meals made with fresh, local ingredients.
As well as looking and tasting good, meals are tailored to the dietary requirements of all residents, including gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian diets.
Our dining room is the hub of life at The Lindens. We see mealtimes as an opportunity to socialise and enjoy chatting over delicious food.
However, with dignity, respect and personal choice at the heart of all we do, residents can eat in the privacy of their own room if they wish.
In addition to our daily menus, Tiffany’s Tea Room provides a lovely place to have a brew, a sweet treat and a chat with friends and visitors. Everybody is made to feel welcome and there’s plenty to choose from with our food and drink options.
Our caring approach
Our mission to deliver high quality person-centered care care which enhances quality of life for the people we support. We help our residents to lead fulfilling lives, with care that’s personalised to their individual needs and wishes.
For us, “quality care” means ensuring that every individual’s hopes, goals and needs are met.
Activities
A choice of engaging and entertaining activities
Keeping active is central to the care we provide at The Lindens Care Home. We are lucky to have an amazing activities team, led by Maria, a finalist of the NAPA Rising Stars Awards – a national award that recognises outstanding individuals in activity provision within care settings. The team offers a range of activities that encourage people to socialise, help maintain life skills, support independence and contribute to physical and mental wellbeing.
We ensure there is something for everyone, from relaxing arts and crafts and gardening to entertainment from guest speakers and musicians to energetic fitness sessions. We’re big fans of anything that brings people together for a bit of fun, and we arrange events and themed days for everything from Macmillan coffee mornings and Wimbledon, through to Oktoberfest, National Samosa Day and much more throughout the year!
Each year, our beautiful grounds come alive for our much-loved Summer Fête – a highlight of the local calendar that brings together residents, families, friends, and neighbours. With the local mayor in attendance, the day is filled with laughter, colour, and community spirit. Guests enjoy meeting animals, say hello to character dress-ups, browse the traditional stalls, and sample delicious homemade cakes. From singers and entertainers to classic games and visiting local wildlife, it’s a truly special event that captures the heart of summer and brings everyone together to enjoy sunshine, smiles, and lasting memories.
As part of this active lifestyle approach, residents are also encouraged to maintain their independence in mobility and self-care, promoting a valuable sense of self-worth.
I have found all the staff at The Lindens strive to make the residents at ease and they show dignity and respect to all. Always helpful and compassionate. It can be personally very difficult to see loved one(s) in care homes, the staff put my mind at ease. I feel fortunate my loved one(s) are/is there. I wish all care homes were as good.
Amenities
At The Lindens Care Home, there’s always something happening and somewhere comfortable to relax. We have three inviting lounge rooms, a spacious communal dining room and a level patio area perfect for fresh air and sunshine. Within our Garden Wing, you’ll also find a convenient launderette and private consultation rooms for visiting professionals, including chiropodists and manicurists.
Our much-loved tea room, Tiffany’s, is a favourite spot for residents, respite guests and visitors alike. It’s a warm, friendly space where you can share tea, coffee and a slice of cake while enjoying beautiful views across the gardens.
The walls are brightened with arts and crafts created by our residents, a lovely reflection of the creativity and community spirit that fills our home.
Everyone deserves a little pampering and our cheerful ‘Hollywood Style’ hair salon makes that easy. Whether it’s a trim, a shampoo and set, or a tidy short back and sides, our residents can enjoy some well-deserved self-care, along with a good chat and plenty of smiles.

Keeping connected
At The Lindens, staying connected matters and family and friends are always welcome.
We operate an open-door policy, encouraging loved ones to visit as often as they wish. Whether sharing a cup of tea in Tiffany’s Tea Room, enjoying a stroll through our beautiful gardens, or spending quiet time together in a resident’s room, visits are an essential part of life here.
Families play a vital role in delivering the very best care. Their insights and stories help us to get to know and understand each resident, allowing us to provide care that’s truly personal. Families are encouraged to attend regular review meetings, where we welcome open feedback and shared ideas on care plans, menus and upcoming activities.
