Thank you to some of the Orley Farm School Children for visiting us at Coppermill! We had a wonderful time with you this afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed playing games and chatting with you and especially enjoyed seeing some impressive acrobatics too! We had such a treat and hope you enjoyed the visit as much as we did!

Interacting with young people is so important for the elderly and we are very lucky to be so integrated into our local community and to be able to host afternoons like this one. Welcoming young children to the home allows us to create a fun, social, entertaining and loving environment for our residents and the health benefits of this kind of interaction are so great.

Connecting young people with their senior counterparts can be extremely beneficial in:

• Fostering an understanding between the two generations
• Strengthening the local community and bonds
• Encouraging positive exchanges between the generations
• Boosting confidence and self-esteem in both groups
• Reducing depression and loneliness for everyone
