Our Care

Our caring approach

Our mission is to provide exceptional care in a warm, caring and comfortable environment.

We support our residents to lead fulfilling lives, with care that’s personalised to their individual needs and wishes.

For us, “quality care” means ensuring that every individual’s hopes, goals and needs are met. We do this by:

  • Maximising independence and opportunity for every person living at Coppermill Care
  • Understanding and supporting individual identity and sense of self-worth
  • Respecting people’s choices

Our building

Coppermill Care is a modern, purpose-built care home which is bright and cheerful inside.

The fact that it is purpose-built means that the rooms were designed to be both comfortable and accessible. Care is provided across two floors, with 52 single bedrooms and a variety of shared spaces, activity areas and lounges, as well as functional spaces such as a laundry room, and lifts to all floors. Read more about our communal spaces below.
Located in the village of Harefield, Uxbridge, the care home is in a suburban area in the heart of the community. Situated on the edge of Park Wood, a few minutes walk from the River Colne with its extensive canal network, the home lies within a small residential area providing a tranquil setting while remaining easily accessible to surrounding towns, including Northwood, Rickmansworth, Ruislip and Ickenham. The M25 and M40 motorways are also easily accessible.
The village location means that there is easy access to local amenities, with a bus stop, shop, post office, social centre and GP all within close proximity.

Our bedrooms

The bedrooms at Coppermill Care are designed to provide people with a sense of privacy, comfort, and safety. Each room is decorated in a modern yet homely style and finished to a high standard.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their room by decorating it with their own possessions such as pictures, photos, ornaments and other personal items. Although all rooms are fully furnished, some residents like to bring in small items of their own furniture. We actively encourage this. It can help people to settle in, enhance their sense of identity and be particularly useful for those with dementia. It can also provide useful and important talking points for the staff to engage people in meaningful conversation.

Communal areas

As a purpose-built care home, Coppermill Care provides a range of communal spaces which are designed to encourage people to interact and enjoy each other’s company. As well as dedicated activity areas, where residents can get together to take part in a host of planned activities, we also have two spacious lounges and one dining room on the ground floor and a further two lounges and one dining area on the first floor.

One of our popular spaces is our Country Pub Themed “Hideaway” lounge. For those who like to look their best, we also have a hairdressing salon. We also provide a kitchenette facility on each floor so that residents and their visitors can make beverages and snacks.

Our secluded rear gardens are home to a decked area, where our residents enjoy soaking up the sunshine or enjoying a spot of gardening, for those who are able.

My Mum thinks Coppermill Care is lovely. She feels very happy and comfortable and says its like a home from home.
