76 years ago on May 8th 1945 WW2 was declared over. Millions of people stood outside Buckingham Palace and cheered and danced, elated that the war had ended.

Broadmead Resthome residents have been very busy participating in preparing VE Day crafts and reminiscing our memories of the end of war celebrations. We also ended the week with our very own VE day party, with a buffet and virtual entertainment of war time favourites. Staff joined on by dressing as Land girls.

We felt it very important to commemorate the war dead in activities and for the lives lost in WW2. We will remember them.
