Betty’s 91st Birthday

30/01/2024

Happy 91st Birthday to our lovely resident Betty! We loved celebrating your birthday with you and your family! The day was special, filled with a private party for Betty and her family, play time with the little tots in the family and celebrating and enjoying cake with residents in the home! A day filled with love and smiles. We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we enjoyed celebrating you, Betty!

Betty arrived in Hayes Park over two years ago and came in as an “end of life” resident, bed bound and given only a few weeks remaining, Betty was in a very different position to where she is today and we are so proud of her recovery whilst she has been with us!

Betty has grown so much physically and mentally, she is confident, independent, moving well around the home, participating in activities and also interacting and engaging with other residents and the staff! A bubbly and chatty person, Betty is not shy of making friends and is a popular member of the home – this is a wonderful achievement for Betty as when she initially came to us, Betty was very much an introvert and lacking in confidence.

We use a variety of methods and activities to help foster independence, self-esteem and confidence in our residents. Through activities that promote independent decision making, light movement and exercise, brain stimulation, fun challenges, creativity and a sense of belonging, teamwork and above all, fun – our resident’s well being is at the heart of everything we do. The results are evident in success stories like Betty!

Thank you Eileen G for a lovely 5 star review on Carehome.co.uk with regards to our care for Betty! We love having her with us!

“My Mother-in-Law has resided at Hayes Park for over 2 years now and is content and her needs well catered for, as she is confined to bed/wheelchair. During this time she has grown in confidence by mixing with the other residents and joining in the various fun activities organised by the staff. She has also gained weight!

The staff recently helped us to celebrate her 91st birthday by providing a warm room with tables/chairs etc for close family to attend which we all enjoyed immensely. All staff are friendly and always available for a face-to-face chat when we visit and as we are able to have email and telephone contact with the manager/nurses/office staff any concerns or queries are immediately responded to. We are also kept well up to date with her daily life by photographs and comments posted on the home’s online page. We do and we would highly recommend this care home to others.”

Keep up to date with Hayes Park
