Merry Christmas from Hayes Park!
We had a lovely Christmas day and enjoyed a spot of festive singing and dancing with our residents. It’s always a pleasure when they join in the festivities and an absolute pleasure to be able to bring a smile to their face.
Singing provides excellent aerobic exercise for the lungs, abdominal muscles, and blood circulation for the elderly and is also used in therapy for treating seniors with dementia.
Dancing has proven to beĀ one of the best ways to maintain and improve muscle strength as we age, combatting the typical muscle loss that comes with age.
We love that our residents always join in!
