National Cheddar Day celebrations at Broadmead

13/02/2025

A very cheesy day indeed! Today we celebrated National Cheddar Day which is celebrated annually on February 13th. Created by the Tillamook County Creamery Cooperation, this day celebrates the amazing cheese type called “cheddar” and all its edible products. We love an excuse to have a celebration at Broadmead Resthome, so we did so with all things cheesy, from games to music and not without a delicious cheeseboard delivered on the takeaway trolley!

Our residents’ favourite was “The Tickler” from Waitrose & Partners deli counter!
What is your favourite cheddar? Let us know! We would love to hear from you!

Fun activities and celebrations like these can make such a vital and positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the elderly and vulnerable people who need care and support. There are so many benefits from keeping active to overcoming loneliness, brain stimulation, improving wellbeing, mobility and social interaction!

If there is a celebration you would like to share with us, please do let us know! We would love to hear your ideas!
