Merry Christmas from all of us at New Day Nursing Home!

We have been busy celebrating with residents, families and friends! Thank you to all of you who have visited us and made this a special day for your loved ones! Our residents love having a fuss made over them and they deserve every moment of it! It has been a day filled with Christmas love, cheer, festivities, food and drinks, games and laughter!

Celebrations like these help to reduce loneliness in the elderly, so it means so much to us all when you visit! It provides our residents with a sense of belonging, and improves their emotional well-being as well as makes them feel supported and valued. Holiday traditions can also shape a senior’s identity and affect how they interpret and express themselves, particularly when they are with their loved ones.

Thank you once again to all those who visited and to our wonderful staff team who have been working tirelessly to make this Christmas special for our residents!
