VE Day Celebrations at Bricklehampton Hall

08/05/2025

Bricklehampton Hall was full of pride, colour and cheer as we celebrated VE Day in true British style! Our courtyard was transformed for the occasion, with bunting, Union Jack colours, and a beautifully laid high tea enjoyed by residents, staff, and guests alike.

From delicate sandwiches and sweet treats to tea, chatter, and plenty of laughter, the afternoon was a joyful nod to a significant moment in history — and a reminder of the resilience and community spirit that defines us.

A Special Visit from David Ludlow

We were especially honoured to welcome David Ludlow, who spoke movingly about VE Day, the Worcestershire Regiment, and what life was like during that era. His stories gave everyone a personal connection to the past and sparked rich conversations among our residents.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to David for generously sharing his time, memories, and knowledge with us.

A Day to Remember

With residents and staff proudly dressed in red, white, and blue, the whole home joined in the spirit of the day. It was a celebration of heritage, gratitude, and togetherness — and a truly memorable moment for all at Bricklehampton Hall.
